Veteran halfback Adam Reynolds has turned down a substantial offer from the Wests Tigers in a move that confirms his commitment to the Brisbane Broncos, where he is set to continue his decorated NRL career.

The 33-year-old playmaker, who recently celebrated his 300th NRL game, was the subject of intense interest from the Tigers, who were reportedly prepared to table a lucrative multi-year deal in a bid to lure him away from Red Hill.

However, Reynolds opted to stay loyal to the Broncos, citing unfinished business and a desire to help guide Brisbane’s next generation of stars.

Reynolds, a former South Sydney Rabbitohs captain, joined the Broncos in 2022 and has since become an instrumental figure both on and off the field. Despite ongoing injury battles, his leadership and game management have been crucial to Brisbane’s rise as a premiership contender.

Sources close to the negotiations indicated that while the Tigers’ offer was financially compelling, Reynolds’ preference to remain in Queensland and continue mentoring the likes of Ezra Mam and Reece Walsh weighed heavily on his decision.

His recommitment is a significant boost for the Broncos, who view Reynolds as a central figure in their title ambitions over the next two seasons. Club officials are also hopeful that Reynolds’ presence will help secure extensions for other key players in the squad.

The decision brings to an end speculation about the veteran’s future and underscores his dedication to the Broncos’ long-term vision.
