Maxx Crosby, a standout defensive end for the Las Vegas Raiders, has become a key figure in trade rumors following the team’s disappointing 2024 NFL season.

The Raiders finished with a 4-13 record, one of the worst in the league, leaving them with a high draft pick for the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft. To make matters worse, the Raiders parted ways with first-year head coach Antonio Pierce, signaling a major organizational shift. However, despite the team’s struggles, Crosby emerged as one of the few bright spots, recording 45 tackles, 7.5 sacks, and five passes defended in only 12 games. Unfortunately, his season ended prematurely due to arthroscopic ankle surgery in December.

While Raiders owner Mark Davis has publicly stated the team has no plans to trade Crosby, the defensive end is gaining traction as a highly sought-after player for teams looking to strengthen their defense. Recently, Tyler Brooks of The 33rd Team suggested a bold trade scenario that would send Crosby to the Green Bay Packers.

Brooks notes that convincing the Raiders to part with their franchise player in his prime would require significant assets, but if Crosby is looking to compete for a championship before his career ends, the Packers could be the ideal destination.

Brooks proposed the Packers send a 2025 second-round pick and a 2026 third-round pick in exchange for Crosby. Green Bay, which struggled to generate a consistent pass rush in 2024, could greatly benefit from Crosby’s edge-rushing abilities.

The Packers as a team registered 45 sacks, but none of their players managed to surpass eight sacks individually. Crosby, who posted 14.5 sacks in 2023, would provide Green Bay with a much-needed game-changer on the defensive line, helping them as they aim to contend for a playoff spot next season after a disappointing wild-card round exit in 2024.
