In a significant development for the Penrith Panthers organisation, Panthers Group CEO Brian Fletcher has officially announced his decision to retire in the first quarter of 2026, marking the end of an influential era in the club’s history.
The announcement was confirmed today by Panthers Group Chairman Peter Graham, who acknowledged Fletcher’s more than ten years of exceptional service to the club and broader Panthers Group.

During his tenure, Fletcher played a central role in driving the organisation through one of its most successful and transformative decades, both on and off the field.
“Brian’s leadership over the past 10 years has helped build a successful organisation. We are grateful for everything he has done to position the club for long-term strength,” said Chairman Graham.
Under Fletcher’s guidance, the Panthers achieved sustained excellence across multiple domains — from the rugby league team’s dominance in the NRL, to the development and management of the Western Sydney Conference Centre (WSCC), and significant growth in community and club operations.
As the Group prepares for a new phase, the board has initiated a formal process to identify a new CEO capable of carrying forward Fletcher’s legacy and steering the club into its next chapter.
The Panthers Rugby League division remains in stable hands, with Rugby League CEO Matt Cameron continuing in his role and reporting directly to the board.
The entire Panthers community has extended its heartfelt thanks to Brian Fletcher for his vision, dedication, and enduring impact on the club’s culture and achievements.
