Parramatta Eels have secured an immediate boost to their backline, with experienced centre Brian Kelly released from his contract at the Gold Coast Titans to sign with the club, an announcement that is expected to be made official shortly.

Kelly, a proven NRL performer, makes the move after reaching an agreement with the Titans to part ways, allowing him to link up with Parramatta effective immediately. The signing adds experience, versatility and strike power to the Eels’ outside backs as the club continues to strengthen its roster.

Since joining the Titans in 2019, Kelly has been a consistent presence in their backline, featuring across multiple seasons and establishing himself as a reliable centre with strong defensive instincts and the ability to finish opportunities close to the line. Known for his work rate and toughness, the 28-year-old brings leadership qualities that could prove valuable both on and off the field at CommBank Stadium.

For the Eels, Kelly’s arrival comes at a crucial time as the club looks to add depth and stability to its squad. His experience at NRL level is expected to provide coach and teammates with greater flexibility in the backline, while also increasing competition for starting spots.

The Titans, meanwhile, will move forward with a reshaped squad as they continue planning for the future, with Kelly’s departure opening opportunities for emerging talent.

An official announcement from Parramatta is imminent, with fans already welcoming the move as a smart and timely signing.
