Alabama football assistant coach Nick Sheridan has been officially promoted to co-offensive and quarterbacks coach for the 2025 season, the University of Alabama announced on Saturday.
Sheridan, who served as offensive coordinator in 2024, will now work alongside newly hired offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb, who will take over play-calling duties this season.
Grubb, initially set to call plays in 2024, left Alabama after a few weeks to join the Seattle Seahawks as their offensive coordinator. Sheridan stepped in as the primary play-caller last season. Despite the changes, Sheridan’s salary remained unchanged in February but is set to increase to $1.45 million for the 2025-2026 contract year.

The Crimson Tide’s offensive coaching staff for 2025 includes Grubb, Sheridan, JaMarcus Shephard, Robert Gillespie, Chris Kapilovic, and Bryan Ellis. Notably, the NCAA has removed the 10-coach cap for full-time on-field assistants, allowing for expanded staff flexibility.
