Four-star safety Lasiah Jackson, one of the nation’s top defensive back prospects, left Tuscaloosa with a strong impression of the Alabama Crimson Tide following his unofficial visit this past weekend.
The 6-foot-3, 170-pound standout from Leesburg, Georgia, didn’t hold back when sharing his thoughts on the program, signaling Alabama’s growing appeal in his recruitment process.
“A place like Alabama is where the best of the best go,” Jackson told On3. “That’s where iron sharpens iron. Coach Maurice Linguist, the defensive backs coach, feels really confident about me coming in next year and being able to compete with the other guys. I definitely plan on going back in the spring. Alabama is just different.”
Jackson’s comments are a testament to the efforts of head coach Kalen DeBoer and his staff, who are working to build momentum on the recruiting trail despite a 9-4 season that some viewed as underwhelming.
