Maxx Crosby, the Las Vegas Raiders’ star defensive end, has responded to ongoing trade rumors about his future with the team, reaffirming his intention to remain with the Silver and Black.

With the Raiders entering a new chapter under head coach Pete Carroll and general manager John Spytek, speculations have swirled about the future of their standout players, including Crosby.

In a recent episode of his podcast, The Rush, Crosby opened up about the trade rumors that have circulated, especially in recent seasons. He called out the media’s role in amplifying these rumors, labeling them as clickbait.

“There’s always going to be the clickbait s—, especially this time of year,” Crosby remarked. “I don’t know why. It’s just funny; in the last two years, the trade rumors have been out of hand. Now, it’s at an all-time high.” He went on to express his frustration about how his comments are often misinterpreted, noting that other fanbases sometimes stir up negativity that impacts the relationship between him and his own supporters. “I feel like everything I say, they take it in a certain way. It might be the other fanbases that make our fans get mad. Then, all of a sudden, they start turning on me, and I’m like, ‘I’m just minding my own business. I’m just in the building every day at 6 AM and working my a– off,’” Crosby explained.

He didn’t shy away from addressing the fans who have turned against him, stating:

“The fans that switch up, they weren’t fans in the first place. They weren’t really there for you anyway. They’re just revealing themselves.” Crosby emphasized his unwavering dedication to the Raiders, saying, “I’ve done nothing but give my heart and soul every single day to this organization, and as of right now, that’s what it’s going to continue being. I’m never going to change who I am.”

Crosby also touched on his contract situation, mentioning that discussions would take place when the time was right. Additionally, he reflected on a challenging 2024 season where he missed games for the first time in his career due to a season-ending ankle surgery.

Despite this setback, Crosby is hopeful for a healthy return in 2025, aiming to contribute to the success of the new regime under Carroll and Spytek.
