The Auburn Tigers have been making waves both on and off the field with major wins in recruiting, standout individual performances, and several key players headed to the prestigious 2025 Senior Bowl.

In the latest edition of Auburn Tigers news, several of the team’s top recruits received major accolades at the Alabama Sports Writers Association (ASWA) banquet.

Five-star safety Anquon Fegans, a key commit for the Tigers, was honored with the 7A Back of the Year award. Two other five-star players, defensive lineman Malik Autry and edge rusher Jared Smith, were nominated for the 7A Lineman of the Year award, with Smith taking home the honor.

Four-star defensive lineman Jourdin Crawford secured the 6A Lineman of the Year title, and linebacker Jakaleb “JJ” Faulk earned the 2A Lineman of the Year award. Running back Alvin Henderson added to Auburn’s impressive haul by winning the 1A Back of the Year for the third time, highlighting his continued dominance at the prep level.

Looking to the future, Auburn will have a strong presence in the upcoming 2025 Reese’s Senior Bowl. Running back Jarquez Hunter, linebacker Eugene Asante, and linebacker Jalen McLeod will represent the Tigers in Mobile, Alabama, where they will showcase their talents to NFL scouts.

Hunter, who finished his Auburn career with 3,371 rushing yards, ranks as the fourth all-time leading rusher in Auburn history.

Asante, who transferred from North Carolina, capped his career with 134 tackles and 13 sacks. McLeod, a transfer from Appalachian State, made an immediate impact, tallying 105 tackles and 13.5 sacks in his two seasons with the Tigers.

These standout performances reflect a bright future for Auburn, both on the recruiting trail and in the professional ranks, as they continue to build a program ready to compete at the highest level.
